Farm
We were learning about the farm and the many jobs that a farmer has. We also learned about products that we get from farms. We made butter together and the kids were so excited to tell you all about it! We planned and wrote a letter to explain everything that you need to know!
We baked fresh biscuits in the cafeteria and ate the butter on the warm, delicious biscuits!!

Teeth!!
We made this yummy treat when we were learning about teeth.
We conducted an experiment that related tooth enamel to eggshells. We put one in juice, soda and vinegar. 
The vinegar, like acid ate through the enamel (shell). 
The soda stained the enamel (shell). 
The juice also left dark stains. 
We used a toothbrush and toothpaste to scrub each one. This made a pretty good improvement. The kids learned how important it is to brush your teeth!Tuesday, March 1, 2011

Welcome to the South Pole!
We studied the South Pole and arctic life. The kids were surprised after winter break that our room had been transformed into the South Pole with an igloo inside and snowflakes hanging everywhere!

Matter
We are learning about solids, liquids and gases. We did an experiment with our reading buddies to see if matter can change forms.
