Happy St. Patty's Day

This is the board in our classroom. This is the mess that we walked into on St. Patty's Day!

A letter that was left.

Teeth!!

We made this yummy treat when we were learning about teeth.

We conducted an experiment that related tooth enamel to eggshells. We put one in juice, soda and vinegar.

The vinegar, like acid ate through the enamel (shell).

The soda stained the enamel (shell).

The juice also left dark stains.

We used a toothbrush and toothpaste to scrub each one. This made a pretty good improvement. The kids learned how important it is to brush your teeth!
