Penpal!!!

With the wonderful help from Kylee's dad, we have been matched with a penpal teacher in Uganda. Our penpal is a kindergarten teacher named Namukasa Christine and she works in a small school 42 miles outside of Kampala. She has 17 students! We are so excited to learn more about each of them. Today we had a special visit from a Red Bug parent that is the founder of an organization called Saving Grace in Uganda. It is a charity that helps care for street children in northern Uganda. She brought many items to share with us along with a picture slideshow presentation to help us better understand the lives of children over there. We saw pictures of cafeterias, classrooms and schools. We also learned about their houses (huts) and how they get water and take care of themselves. The kids were fascinated and had lots of questions! Ask them about it! Here are a few pictures of some of the items that Mrs. Val (Bransdorfer) brought to share with us! We hope that you will be excited to learn more about our penpals!
